Prospectors, an Endangered Species? Page 1 of 6

This website came about accidentally in the very early days of the web supporting TheProspector.com. The idea was to lead financial prospectors to another in our web ring that just sort of happened, WesternMiner.com, featuring an online database of prospects and properties for sale, lease, joint venture.

Alaska prospectors 1I believe we were the first online to demonstrate that in the Information Age, one needed to sell with valid information. That a billboard on the Information Highway that arm-waved to attract a potential buyer’s phone call, answered with enthusiasm that the whole mountain assayed 10 ounces, had a negative effect on the claims reputation.

When doing marketing research door to door calling in person on “juniors” in Canada a few years ago we were pleasantly surpassed that many geologists in control of joint venture drilling money had actually visited our database, having come through a linked doorway, as GoldMiningClaims.net, and that our reputation —due to having turned down pie-in-the-sky listing— was we seemed to understand the difference between an amateurs dreams, and a professional’s reality.

One thing we learned for certain concerning selling a large property, thanks to the Briex scandal in New Guinea by a supposedly respected geologist, was that a third party, interested buyer style, virtual tour was needed. This led to the development of Property-Prospect-Showcase.com, in putting together some big projects with a more effective sales tool than relying on the sometimes undecipherable information that comes out of academics mouths.

Unfortunately, our use of public information for all, via the Internet, has led to “big money” finders hiring us direct to make them an exclusive DVD containing a believable on-the-ground examination, and all supporting documents and reports done in a searchable, printable, unalterable format. This has not help our plans of building the database.
